Anyone who's ever paid much attention to road racing know that Ohlins is one of the most widely-respected names in motorcycle suspension components.  Ohlins shocks are among the best.  Unfortunately, they're priced to match.

I was delighted to find an Ohlins shock advertised on the Thunderace list at a reasonable price.  The improved suspension control is wonderful, expecially over the Northeast's notoriously poor roads.  When this shock is set up it provides a remarkable level of comfort with superior suspension charaistics.  It might not be much to look at, but it sure gets the job done well.

As you see, I also mounted up a custom bracket to mount the reservoir below the side panel.  This way I can adjust the dampening without removing the bodywork.
