Yep.  It's just what the name says it is.  Very handy for preventing any belt buckle or zipper scratches on the back of the tank.  And it looks neat.

Next I think I will need to protect the sides of the tank with UV-resistant clear urethane.   It's a coin toss as to which is better -- having nearly invisable urethane or risking dulling out the paint where I rub against the tank during normal riding.
